What is the function of antioxidant in gloves?

In glove manufacturing, antioxidants are used as an ageing protectors of rubber compounding. The Antioxidant act as chain breaking donors when added to polymeric materials to remove the alkyl (P-) or alkylperoxy radicals (POO-) during oxobiodegradation by reduction to hydro peroxides (ROOH)
